Collage of Famous Faces

For this collage, I included people that I love and/or look up to.  On the bottom left there is a picture of Jay-z and Kanye West, next to them is lil Wayne, and above lil Wayne is Zach Galifianakis.  Also, on the right side of Zach there is a picture of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon together, and on the right to them is Kid Cudi but you can barely see him because of the bright flash.  I wanted to make this collage because I have a lot of magazines that I never look at more than once so I decided to make use of them and cut out people, places, and things.  I sorted a pile of pictures I cut out and picked my favorite ones and just made it kind of into a scene or landscape.  There were props in it too like the cat on the left side and the Beverly Hills sign on the top middle.  After putting them in the places I wanted them to be, I used double-sided tape and taped them onto a blank sheet of white paper.  Using my imagination I drew shapes and bodies onto the people and props.

Here is the collage I made!

Do people even make collages on paper with pens anymore?  Everything now is made on the computer.  Sometimes I just like to do random collages and I feel more original if I handmade it.  I know its random, but what ever! I am random

24 Hour Coffee Shop: Hot Spots

Hot Spots is a great coffee place because it is open 24-7, it has free wi-fi, and has a sit down area too where you can study, do homework, or just drink your coffee.  During the summer, my friends and I would be bored and awake at midnight wanting to do something, so we would end up wanting to go to Hot Spots because we new it was open!  The only thing that I don’t like about this coffee place is that it has some creepy visitors.  I think this is because it is open all day, all night and is located by the pier and train tracks, where it is known to have some sketchy people.  All together though this place is convenient and has great coffee drinks so if you want to just pick something up the menu is affordable and it tastes great! But warning you can’t use a credit/debit card if your purchase is under $5, so bring cash in case!

Here are a few photos I took when I went here tonight

Top 5 Movies I Need to See

1.) HUGO-this movie got so many oscars I can’t even believe it! It got 5 Oscars for cinematography, visual effects, art direction, sound editing and sound mixing.  Also the preview for this movie is very intriguing with all of the different machines and the style they picked to go with the movie.  Hopefully this will be on Cinema Plus/Pay Per View soon!

2.)THE ARTIST-My parents both saw this movie and my mom loved it.  From all of the oscars they won I am guessing that it is really good and it looks really neat.  They won best director, the lead actor award for Jean Dujardin, costume design, best picture, and lastly best score.  I love the idea of making an old-fashioned film, with neat style, I definitely want to see this movie ASAP.

3.) THE DESCENDANTS-This movies Stars George Clooney and got great reviews.  What movie with Clooney isn’t great?  My parents also saw this but they hated it, they thought the plot was bad and the moral of the movie wasn’t right.  I want to see this and decide what I think.

4.)MIDNIGHT IN PARIS-Both my sisters and friends have seen this and said it was amazing…I am surprised it didn’t get more Oscars.  Also, this movie stars Owen Wilson from the well known Wedding Crashers, the movie that will always make me laugh.  My sister recently bought this movie on demand so I think I am going to watch it on my free time.

5.)MONEYBALL-This movie got nominated for a lot of awards but didn’t follow through with getting any oscars.  I really wanted to see this because Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill are the two main characters are in it which would most definitely make it worth watching.

I just found this artist a few months ago and I really like her!  It is so interesting how she adds techno beats but then raps I love it! Check out her page on sound cloud!!  She also has a really cool style, if you watch her music video on youtube you can see for your self.

Destiny Hope Cyrus

I have loved growing up with Miley Cyrus. Not just because of her show Hannah Montana, but because of the influence she has on me. She is not afraid to say what she feels, and she grew up doing exactly what she wanted. Her style is definitely something i have always loved, she inspires my style. From her bicep tattoo to her retro glasses this girl has style. Not only is she an icon to people around the world she is a is an activist for many charitable causes. She also stands up for a very important cause, gay marriage. After shooting the movie, “The Last Song” she started dating Liam Hemsworth.

Here are some pictures of Miley, if you have any good pictures of her email me!

Man On The MOOn

Kid Cudi has been one of my favorite hip-hop recording artist sense 7th grade.  I first started listening to the song Day n’ Night and instantly fell in love with his tone of voice and the random but cool lyrics that go along with the flow of the beat.  Whenever I listen to his songs I feel the same way; spacey, curious, and happy.  Cudi’s first show of fame was with the song “Day n’ Night” from his first album Man on the Moon: The End of Day.  He reached number five on Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.

Kid Cudi grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was born on January 30th, 1984 which would make him twenty-eight. Cudis real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi and his last name relates to his fame name because Mes(cudi) obviously has Cudi in it.  He rearranged the word and made it his name he is known for ‘Kid Cudi’.  His dad died from cancer when he was only eleven years old, this had a significant affect on Cudi which made a huge impact on his personality and music.  Later, Cudi admits about his daughter and says,”…I have a daughter, born March 26th of this year.  Her name is Vada, and she is f*cking awesome.”  This was in 2010 so two years ago which would make her 2 years old now.  I have not found out who the mom is so if anybody wants to fill me in that would be great!

Kid Cudi has come out with 3 albums in his career, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager (my personal favorite), and WZRD that just came out.  My favorite song from his first album was Make Her Say featuring Kanye West and Common.  This song was a remix to Lady Gagas song Poker Face, and I think that the remix is way better then the original.  Last year I purchased Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager and I still love it.  I have to admit alot of Kid Cudis song sound alike, but I don’t think that is bad because his tone is so unique, which makes it enjoyable to listen to his voice.

Here is I BE HIGH by kid cudi one of my all time favorites!

Shawn Carter (Jay-Z)

Jay-Z was born on December 4, 1969 and grew up in Brooklyn New York, and went to George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School along with fellow rappers Notorious B.I.G, Busta Rhymes. He rose to stardom as a hip hop icon through adversity, being abandoned by his father at a young age, shooting his brother, and selling cocaine on the streets of Brooklyn. Jay-Z is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, and actor, and one of the most financially successful hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in America. He has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, received 13 Grammy awards for his musical work, and many other nominations for his success. Jay-Z acquired immense success during his first year as President Def Jam with Mariah Carey, Young Jeezy, NE-YO, and Rihanna. He has obtained the position as CEO, owner, and founder of his own record label, Roc-a-Fella Records, and was named the greatest hip-hop MC of all-time by MTV. His countless achievements have proclaimed him as one of the most successful hip-hop artists of all-time, along side pop icon and wife, Beyonce, who has shone brilliantly in the spotlight with Jay-Z, and they are recognized as one of the most noteworthy, influential couples in music history. They will forever leave a lasting mark on hip-hop and pop culture.

Jay-Z inspires me because he started out in the troubles of Brooklyn with only a dream of becoming something big. He was able to conquer his dream, and became one of the most successful rappers and hip hop artists in the world.

This is Jay-Z’s New song about his new baby Blue Ivy Carter, I fell in love with it the first time I heard it hopefully you do too!

The one and only MILA KUNIS

The girl everyone wants to look and act like, gorgeous and funny, please get ugly?

Mila Kunis was born into a Jewish family in Ukraine.  She attended one semester of college and began to realize that she wanted to act for the rest of her life.  She has been an inspiration to me since I first started watching That 70s Show, and more recently Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Family Guy, and Friends With Benefits.

Mila Kunis inspires me because compared to other famous actresses she seems to have the most real personality and it makes me love how open she is.  She definitely tells it like it is and can be vulgar which I like, it shows that she is not trying to be someone else under the spotlight, like most famous people do.  If I could be friends with anyone famous it would definitely be Mila, I think I would enjoy her presence and not be annoyed like I probably would if it were for instance Taylor Swift.
